Writings These writings cover a span of many years.  I feel that they address deep issues that arise in the practice of medicine, both for the practitioner and the patient.  As I have become older, the therapeutic relationship becomes a deeply personal interaction based on a desire for mutual understanding.  I realize that often I am  the student and a very ill or dying person is my patient teacher.
